As we transition to in-person learning, we will continue utilizing our mitigation strategies to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 in our schools--wearing masks, utilizing 3 feet of distance, washing hands, and remaining home when individuals feel ill or have symptoms of COVID.
With more students in our buildings, we also expect to be notified of additional cases of COVID in our schools. We have been informed that the St. Anthony-New Brighton School District has a lab-confirmed case of COVID-19, with exposure dates of 4/5/21 and 4/6/21. For privacy reasons, we cannot share details about the status of the individuals. At this time, they have been advised to stay home and away from other people (isolate).
Each year, many school districts across the state administer the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) and the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA).
As we welcome more students to in-person learning, we recognize this transition will be a major change for our students. We are ready to support and meet each of them where they are, regardless if learning from home or in our buildings—we will focus on their individual needs.
This March, attendees will consider how each of us can expand upon the ways in which we support our greater community.
